Internet Marketing - Lay The Groundwork
The idea behind Internet Marketing is to drive traffic to your website. Having information and services that fill a need will certainly help you in your endeavor. Finding a target audience is another key: you need to find out what sort of things interest your target audience and you cater your website to meet that curiosity. Placing random thoughts, ideas, and offers will draw an occasional random member of your target audience. They may or may not use you as a source of information and, when you offer something to purchase, may or may not make that purchase.
This is where the difficult part comes in. Some Internet Marketers will tell you that you will have a wesbite up and running and drawing hundreds, if not thosands of people with cash in hand, all eager to finance the life of your dreams. Certainly, the Internet provides the opportunity to have more money for your life, but nobody is going to walk up to you on the street and hand you the blueprints for success.
You have to work at it.
And work at it tirelessly. It has already been mentioned that you have to have a bit of a positive mental attitude when it comes to attracting people and directing traffic toward stopping at your website. You have to research keywords to see which ones you should include in your daily (yes, I said daily) entries onto your blog or your website. That is the foundation of your website. You don’t have to be a great writer to write every day. There is plentyof articles that you can use (just change them up a bit) at websites like sampleresources.com. Read other sites to see what they are talking about. Jot down their ideas, or better yet, create a swipefile of sample writings that you can draw from when you happen to hit a dry spell.
Keep up the good work, and have a GREAT day!!
Internet Marketing: You Can’t Charge for Everything
One of the biggest mistakes that early Internet Marketers encounter is when they attempt to charge for everything. With so much free information out there, until you have established your credentials as an expert, there isn’t too much money to be made out there if all you have is a website that is just asking people to buy, buy, buy. This is the information age, and people are looking for information. Be a source of information that people know that they can come to and find what they are looking for. I am not suggesting that you give away everything that you know nor am I advocating selling everything. Give them a taste of what you know. Give them free information that they can use. On down the road, you might put together an ebook that they will want to purchase. The exact mix for you is something that you will have to work out for yourself.
Sometimes people read the online emails that they get telling you that you can earn $100,000 a month using Internet Marketing. Can you? Of course you can. But there is a learning curve that has to be encountered that will help you to get to whatever your goals are for making money on the Internet. Don’t get your hopes all tied up in dreams of making vast fortunes without realizing that it will take hours upon hours of hard, dedicated work. Even the most successful Internet Marketers had to start somewhere. Just be sure to keep you dreams more on the realistic side.
There is nothing wrong about having big dreams, in fact, when you have a big dream, you are programming yourself for success. All too often, people don’t get their $1,000 a day in the first seven days and hang it up, often on the cusp of entering into a zone of success.
More later, stay tuned! Have a GREAT day!
PMA: Fill A Need
You want to have more traffic to your website. You know that having more traffic, when directed wisely, can lead you to having more success as an Internet marketer. But you ask yourself: “How do I do this? How can I get people to come to my web site and what can I do to translate this into more dollars in my pocket?” We have been exploring some of the ways to generate traffic to your web site and the role that having a positive mental attitude can assist you in having a greater degree of success in your online endeavors. The answers are out there, the challenge is that those gems of knowledge are sometimes hidden deep within writings of those who are already enjoying a great deal of success. In a nutshell, if you find a need and supply the solution to fulfilling that need (whether it is through the creation of your own product or being an affilliate for a product) will transition a web “browser” into a buyer. The person on the other end will be happy and loyal that you have provided this service to them and you will be rewarded as well. Let me state that again:
Find a need out there that others desire to have fulfilled, offer a solution, and you will be rewarded.
It isn’t the easiest thing in the world. You have to research (and you thought that once you were done with school you didn’t have to do any thinking again - WRONG!), you have to put time and effort into your endeavor (if you put nothing into your effort to drive Internet traffic, you get exactly that: NOTHING!), look at what others are doing successfully and use those same techniques yourself.
You CAN be successful, but you have to take ACTION to be successful.
Have a GREAT day!
Positive Mental Attitude: Help Set The Tone
When it come to getting traffic to your website, it helps to have a Positive Mental Attitude. You want to attract people to read what you have to say and to purchase what you are offering as a solution for them. I can recall some of the training that I have had in sales when I worked for a major telecommunications company (”Can You Hear Me Now?”). They did not encourage you to be negative. People hear enough negative things out there in the world now, why at fuel to their fire.
Make your website to be a place of excitement that people may have the chance to dream for what they want to do with their own lives. Try to offer something unique that is going to fill a need that they have in their lives. Perhaps they are overweight. You wouldn’t want a sebsite that is full of fat and unattractive people. You would want to have a website that has healthy, fit, and trim people that are living life. You typically don’t go to the Internet to find things that will lower your self-esteem.
Fill a need and offer a solution to people and people will be drawn to your site. Find a way to answer a question that they may have. Offer a way to achieve a goal that they have. It takes work and research because nobody is going to have somebody do everything for them. Is there money to be made out there? YES!! Can YOU do it? YES!! Will it happen in one hour with no effort? No. What you put into your endeavor, you will see return. Put in a half-hearted effort, and you will get a half-hearted result.
Have a GREAT day!!
The Key To Success In Making Money On The Internet: Belief
Somebody told me that it should be listed as a secret ingredient to success, but it doesn’t need to be a secret anylonger. It is true what is said when it is said “whether you believe you can, or you believe you can’t, you are right.” This is especially true with making money on the Internet. There is an unlimited supply of money out there waiting to align itself with you, but you have to believe.
There is strenth in the power of belief. First you have to transition from “like” to “belief”. What is that? Simple. Look at the difference in intensity of these two statements: “I would like to make a million dollars on the Internet” and “I believe I will make a million dollars on the Internet.” The first statement has a light, almost airy feeling about it. There is no conviction. If ou say that to somebody else they will just smile and dismiss you and not think that you are well on your way to have a million dollars in your banking account.
The second statement, however, carries a certain amount of conviction with it. There is a definite-ness to that. People will be more apt to take you seriously if you utter that statement. Subconsciously, you start to attact things that will draw you closer to that goal and make it more of a reality.
This is not just about making money on the Internet, but it can have applications to any area of your life. Stay tuned for further details as there is so much to say and so little space in which to say it!
Have a GREAT day!
PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) and YOU
When it comes to getting your website to a profitable point, there are going to be some low points. You may put in an hour here and an hour there and wonder why people aren’t flocking to your site to hand over their money in droves. After all, you have a fantastic site, it is well thought out, and you just knewthat the minute you opened up your site that there would be people dying to know. You start to second guess yourself, your enthusiam wanes for the website to make you some money. After two weeks, you haven’t made your first million on the Internet, much less your first $1.00.
DON”T GIVE UP!
If you keep doing the same thing over and over, you had better not be expecting different results (I can just hear Dr. Phil’s voice saying just that). There has to be some change that happens. Step back and see what is working for other people. Visit lots of other sites and see what is working for them: Is is flash animation? Is it the layout of their offerings? Are you using a font that you think is cool, but not everybody else is able to view?
Make a list of what you are doing and whether that particular action is leading to more traffic and more dollars in your pocket. Try different things in small amounts. Try to incorporate some of the winning tactics on your website and see if that makes a different.
You have to be patient. After all, the best things didn’t happen overnight. There was probably a lot of trial and error that was put ito completion: You should be no different!
Keep working and know that you do have the ability to Succeed!
Easy Profits From Having A Website?
I can seem like it is easy in hindsight. I love to read all of the advertisements about how you can easily make money on the Internet by having your own website. Of course you need to get a good domain name and one of the best ways that I have found is by doing a free search at godaddy. But there is more to it than just that. Just because you have a good degree doesn’t mean that opportunities are just going to flood your mailbox, your inbox of your email, or calls on your voicemail. You actually have to work at it. Of course, the harder you work, the more reward that you will realize.
I said that you have to work hard, but really it should read the smarter that you work, the more rewards you will reap. You have to be open to new ideas because the strategies that you have been using may not be the strategies that work well. Here are some ideas:
* Copy Others - You were probably taught in school that it is wrong to copy. I am not talking about stealing things word-for-word (plagiarism), but notice what the successful Internet marketers are doing out there and incorporated the style that they use into your plan.
* Sometime You Gotta Pay - Realize that not everything is free. Don’t spend without thinking about what you are paying for. You can pay to get traffic by doing a Pay-Per-Click campaign, and that may be what you have to do to get traffic in the first few months. There are a lot of free ways to get traffic, and it is best to explore those first.
* Be Flexible - If you keep doing the same thing over and over again and you get the same results, there is no chance that if you do it more that your results will change. You’ll just become exhausted sooner. Be willing to take suggestions on how you can improve your products, how you can improve your traffic, how you can become more savvy on you Internet quest for money.
Emulation, valuation, and flexibility. These will help lead to your success! Have a GREAT day!
To Get Traffic, How Often Must I Write?
In regards to gaining traffic on you Internet site and developing a Web presence, you should write, or post to your site/blog as often as possible. If possible, you should write something new each and every day. This serves several purposes:
* If you post everyday and then “ping” your website through free services ling ping-o-matic! it will tell the search engines that there is something new and potentially interesting on your site and will move you up in their rankings. Believe me when you want to be in the first page of Internet search engines like Google because more people will discover your website. You could have the most awesome website in the world, but if nobody knows that it is there, what good is that?
* The more that you write about a subject, the more knowledgable youwill become. You may find yourself visiting other sites (and, of course, leaving comments) and seeing what they are saying. Who knows? You may get the next great idea for a post on your blog/website.
* You can always get ideas at sites that offer PLR material. Such sites are to be found here. You can use the material, but you must significantly alter it so as not to be plagiarism.
* Ask experts in the field that you have an interest in (you niche) about your topic. You are sure to get a wealth of information to write upon there. If you quote them, be sure that you credit them as well.
Have a GREAT day! And Happy Writing!
Where Can The Ideas Come From?
I am no good at writing, you may say. Not to worry, if you are targeting a niche market in which you feel very strongly about and you spend a lot of time thinking about the topic at hand, believe me, you have more than enough material floating up between your ears to type in a short article (250-300 words). Here are some helpful hints that you can use to generate an article. Once you have an article written, you can post it to your website, your blog, or even ezinearticles.com.
* Read - the more that you read on the subject, the more familiar you become with that subject and the easier it will be to write about that article. The best novel writers (and no, it is not advocating you to write one) are the ones who spend a lot of their time reading others. Surf the net and see what others are saying about your subject.
* Use a pen and paper - That may be an archaic form, but once you become so used to typing things on a keyboard, you may lose a bit of the intensity that you may otherwise have had should you first put it on paper. When I wrote my last e-book Never Surrender, I did just that, even though my handwriting is poor and I feel more comfortable at a keyboard. You can sign up for the newsletter that will notify you when the book is ready (June 14, 2009 if all goes according to plan)
* Write random thoughts - It helps to take just a half hour to write out some random thoughts on your subject and write whatever comes into your mnd about the subject. There doesn’t have to be any sort of link between ideas, the idea is to pull those ideas out of your head and on to your paper.
There is much more to write about, but this will hopefully give you a bit of a start. Have a GREAT day!
