Internet Marketing: Now That You Have An Original & Unique Article…Post It!!!
Now that you have an article that you have re-written to be more than 40% unique and original (by using dupecop) you can take your short article and post it to your blog on your web site. Make sure that you “ping” your blog so that search engines will know that you are out there and that you exist. Make sure also that you have key words and key word phrases in your article so that the search engines will pick your post up and set it higher in the rankings. You want to be on the first page of search engine results so that you can get more traffic to your web site (and eventually more cash into your pocket).
You can, of course link to an affiliate web site in your post, but that will be a discussion that I will save for tomorrow. Remember that you can always post any questions that you have on this to the website and I will get to them as I am able.
Have a GREAT day!!
Internet Marketing: The Use of a FREE Blog!
We have talked about setting up a blog on your own website, but there is another, free, service available to you. It is at blogger.com. The blog can be set up in three simple steps, but it is free. There is no cost involved. I personally have 7 blogs set up through blogger.com, but only a handful are updated on a daily basis.
You will need a web site title or what you want the title of your web site to be. At blogger.com, the website address will end in blogspot.com. Blogger.com is where you set up your account, but the location of the blog (which is short for web log) will be xxxxx.blogspot.com. Once you enter your information, you can then create your first post. It can be something simple such as “Welcome to my blog about [whatever you choose your blog to be about]“.
You will then click publish (please use the spell-check feature because even the best of us make mistakes, and mistakes will often make people not want to return) and Viola! You are now pulished on the world wide web.
I have kept today simple because I do realize that this is a Monday and sometimes it is difficult to get going in full gear early in the week!
Have a GREAT day!
Internet Marketing: Writing Your First Post To Your Blog, part II
The other half of writing your first post to your blog is to add a picture. You may not want to do this step and that is completely up to you. Underneath the title section of your post, there is a tool par that says Upload/Insert. Move your mouse over the icons, and you will see that you can upload and image, video, audio, or media. These items can add excitement to your blog and make them “sticky” or people will “stick” around longer. The longer that they are on your site, the better the chance is that they will come back. For example, I can add the image of the book that I have written just below this paragraph. That would make my blog to be more interesting.
Now, this image can be a picture of you, a picture related to the subject of your blog. If you don’t have any good images, you can go out to Google and search for royalty free images. The possibilities are endless.
All you have to do now is to spell check your post (there is an icon that will spell check for you) and then save it. You want to save it in the event that you have a computer crash before you can publish, or post you writing to your Wordpress blog on your web site.
Internet Marketing: Writing Your First Post To Your Blog
Now that you have installed a Wordpress blog to your web site, you can now post to that web site something. Let’s start off simple, and work our way up to being more complex.
Simple first.
You will need to log into your blog and click on the “write” tab. On one of the many sub tabs, choose the one that says “Post”. Writing a post for your blog is very similar to writing an email. You have a subject line and you have the body of your post. Remember, we are keeping it simple first.
Your subject line should be a one sentence description of what your blog is about. On your first post, don’t try to be fancy and win the Nobel Prize for Literature: just something simple like “This is my blog about <blank>” or “Welcome To My Blog About <blank>. You aren’t writing a tremendously long title at this point. We are trying to get you to get used to writing a post to your blog. I actually have many blogs, so I have gotten used to it, but I started out simple as well.
In the body of your post, you will keep it simple as well. Just a short little thing such as “Thank you for visiting, there is mor to come” or “this is a blog about <blank>, come back in the future for more”. You just want to make it inviting. Let the reader know what you are setting out to do with your blog.
We will continue tomorrow and have a GREAT day!
