What Does It Take To Get You To BELIEVE In The Power of a Positive Mental Attitude?
There is great power in a positive mental attitude. Sometimes, when things are not going exactly as you have planned, it is difficult to realize that a positive mental attitude can help you, especially when you are working at succeeding as an Internet Marketing entrepreneur. We all have read the advertisements about how somebody instantly was earning $1,000 a day and there was little or no work involved. Sorry, but that doesn’t happen by accident. If you went behind the scenes and followed the successful Internet marketers, then you would see countless hours of research, programming, and failures before the great success came. Success will come to you…
…but not without having expended a great deal of energy.
This is not to discourage you, but to educate you that you CAN be successful on the Internet, but you will have to do a bit of work. Just knowing that others have succeeded before you will help to fuel your fire. You will need to try many things, and you will want to try the things that work and discard those that do not. If a method fails for you, devote no more time and energy toward that but instead pour more into the things that work for you.
Success breeds success.
But you gotta believe. Have faith and KNOW that it will pay off in the long run.
Have a GREAT day!
It’s Tuesday, Do You Know Where You Positive Mental Attitude Is?
When on the road to Internet Marketing success, it cannot be emphasized enough that a key to that success is a positive mental attitude. This attitude is not just for the first few days and it will all be easy and downhill from there, but it is a need that needs to have a constant flow of good input in order to be effective. New Year’s Day is a great example. Traditionally people are all excited on that day because it is a new year and an opportunity to start fresh. People often choose to start diets and exercise programs then (why do you think that gyms advertise so much during the Christmas through January time-frame?). There is excitement and somebody may go to the gym every day for a whole week.
Then other influences creep in and make it easier to quit than to press on. They skip going on the Monday after one week and tell themselves “It’s okay, it is only one day, I will make it up tomorrow.”
Tomorrow never comes.
You should do something every single day to feed your positive mental attitude so that, like a muscle, it becomes stronger over time. I am not suggesting that you are “on fire” 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but a steady flame does so much more to evenly temper you mettle and you will be more successful in the long run.
That’s how I became successful with my ebook Never Surrender!!. Every day a little bit more was done on the book. Had it been attempted in one or two full days of work, it would not have turned out as well as it did. Instead, small bites were taken and the success was built upon.
You can do the same with your Internet Marketing.
There is lot of information out there and it can be overwhelming, but when you tackle it a small piece at a time. You will find that you will be much more successful in the long run!
Have a GREAT day!
Are YOU Having Internet Marketing Success?
Much has been written here to help you achieve a degree of Internet Marketing success. As it has been stated before, just having a website, no matter how great it may be, is not the only step to achieving your dream of financial independence. Just as if you had a great restaurant and nobody ate there, who would ever know that you served some of the most creative and delicious food on the planet? Who would recommend your restaurant to the their friends and neighbors? Who would eagerly look forward to the next special that you had there?
Nobody.
Sounds sad and lonely, doesn’t it? Sad, lonely, and true. If you don’t “ping” your daily writing/posts to your website, not even a search engine will find and catalog your website out there. Try pinggoat, for starters. At least get your name out there. You can also submit articles to ezinearticles.com and that can be a slow, but steady source of traffic. You might do a PPC (pay per click) campaign with Google Adwords or type “PPC Advertising” into the search bar of Google and find other ways to generate traffic to your site. You might have to pay for traffic in the beginning, but, once the traffic starts to flow, so does the cash flow as well.
You might even try traditional advertising like the newpaper (non-traditional like Craigslist). What ever you do, just do something! Make note of what works and what doesn’t. What works for one person, may not work at all for another. You never know until it is used.
Here’s to YOUR Internet Marketing success, and have a GREAT day!
Internet Marketing - You Have to be Flexible
An story keeps running through my head as I think about what was posted yesterday about the need to be flexible. There is a lot more to say than the few words that were typed out yesterday. The story goes about the great mighty oak tree that had lived for over 100 years. Strong and proud, it had weathered some years of drought, some years of excessive rain, even a small wildfire. One day a strand of prairie grass was near the oak tree and the oak tree was in his usual bragging mood admiring his reflection in a small nearby pond. “I am mighty and powerful and you, little sprout, will never be as grand as I am.” Suddenly, the skies darkened and the winds began to blow. The might oak stood his ground and almost laughed at the growing wind. “I am mighty and powerful, this wind is nothing to me”, he boasted. The storm worsened and it grew dark. The next morning the mighty oak had been toppled because as the wind gained strength the tree had not had any flexibility and the wind finally won. The strand of prairie grass, however, was still standing as it was before. The winds at time had the grass laying flat against the ground, but because of its flexibility, it was able to survive.
You have to be flexible to survive in Internet Marketing also. Don’t be so rigid that you will not be able to see what works and what doesn’t and change accordingly. Have a plan, of course, but also be willing to change your plans as necessary. Don’t believe because what has always worked wil work for you in the future because, if there is any one constant in the world, it is change. Things will change. Be flexible to adapt to the changes so that you can be more successful.
Have a GREAT day!
Internet Marketing - Lay The Groundwork
The idea behind Internet Marketing is to drive traffic to your website. Having information and services that fill a need will certainly help you in your endeavor. Finding a target audience is another key: you need to find out what sort of things interest your target audience and you cater your website to meet that curiosity. Placing random thoughts, ideas, and offers will draw an occasional random member of your target audience. They may or may not use you as a source of information and, when you offer something to purchase, may or may not make that purchase.
This is where the difficult part comes in. Some Internet Marketers will tell you that you will have a wesbite up and running and drawing hundreds, if not thosands of people with cash in hand, all eager to finance the life of your dreams. Certainly, the Internet provides the opportunity to have more money for your life, but nobody is going to walk up to you on the street and hand you the blueprints for success.
You have to work at it.
And work at it tirelessly. It has already been mentioned that you have to have a bit of a positive mental attitude when it comes to attracting people and directing traffic toward stopping at your website. You have to research keywords to see which ones you should include in your daily (yes, I said daily) entries onto your blog or your website. That is the foundation of your website. You don’t have to be a great writer to write every day. There is plentyof articles that you can use (just change them up a bit) at websites like sampleresources.com. Read other sites to see what they are talking about. Jot down their ideas, or better yet, create a swipefile of sample writings that you can draw from when you happen to hit a dry spell.
Keep up the good work, and have a GREAT day!!
Internet Marketing: You Can’t Charge for Everything
One of the biggest mistakes that early Internet Marketers encounter is when they attempt to charge for everything. With so much free information out there, until you have established your credentials as an expert, there isn’t too much money to be made out there if all you have is a website that is just asking people to buy, buy, buy. This is the information age, and people are looking for information. Be a source of information that people know that they can come to and find what they are looking for. I am not suggesting that you give away everything that you know nor am I advocating selling everything. Give them a taste of what you know. Give them free information that they can use. On down the road, you might put together an ebook that they will want to purchase. The exact mix for you is something that you will have to work out for yourself.
Sometimes people read the online emails that they get telling you that you can earn $100,000 a month using Internet Marketing. Can you? Of course you can. But there is a learning curve that has to be encountered that will help you to get to whatever your goals are for making money on the Internet. Don’t get your hopes all tied up in dreams of making vast fortunes without realizing that it will take hours upon hours of hard, dedicated work. Even the most successful Internet Marketers had to start somewhere. Just be sure to keep you dreams more on the realistic side.
There is nothing wrong about having big dreams, in fact, when you have a big dream, you are programming yourself for success. All too often, people don’t get their $1,000 a day in the first seven days and hang it up, often on the cusp of entering into a zone of success.
More later, stay tuned! Have a GREAT day!
PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) and YOU
When it comes to getting your website to a profitable point, there are going to be some low points. You may put in an hour here and an hour there and wonder why people aren’t flocking to your site to hand over their money in droves. After all, you have a fantastic site, it is well thought out, and you just knewthat the minute you opened up your site that there would be people dying to know. You start to second guess yourself, your enthusiam wanes for the website to make you some money. After two weeks, you haven’t made your first million on the Internet, much less your first $1.00.
DON”T GIVE UP!
If you keep doing the same thing over and over, you had better not be expecting different results (I can just hear Dr. Phil’s voice saying just that). There has to be some change that happens. Step back and see what is working for other people. Visit lots of other sites and see what is working for them: Is is flash animation? Is it the layout of their offerings? Are you using a font that you think is cool, but not everybody else is able to view?
Make a list of what you are doing and whether that particular action is leading to more traffic and more dollars in your pocket. Try different things in small amounts. Try to incorporate some of the winning tactics on your website and see if that makes a different.
You have to be patient. After all, the best things didn’t happen overnight. There was probably a lot of trial and error that was put ito completion: You should be no different!
Keep working and know that you do have the ability to Succeed!
Article Writing = Traffic
One great way to generate traffic to your website is by article marketing. I get a lot of my traffic from some of the articles that I have written. A great site for that is ezinearticles.com. You can submit an article of 250-500 (the recommended length) words. The site has to approve the article, but once it is approved and posted, it stays in the system. It may be years since you wrote an article, but somebody could read your article and visit your website that is listed in the resource box.
There are rules to follow though, and my articles don’t always get approved the first time through. Sometimes it is approved on the fifth or sixth re-write, but once you get the hang of the format and style that will work, it doesn’t really take that much time. The website has some great tutorials and blogs to help you as you go along.
But, “What Do I Write About?”.
Your niche. You should have picked a niche that you feel passionately about. The more passionate you are about a subject, the easier the words will roll off your fingertips. I have always been a writer at heart, so it comes somewhat naturally. You’ll find as you research more, you will know more and you will be able to share more. You just write a short, several paragraph article that outlines few, key points, and make sure that you have your links in the resource box (you ae allowed two). This is not a place for you to preach or hard-sell anybody: the idea is to get people to read your articles, trust what you have to say, and, in turn, honor you with a visit to your website. At your website you can do the selling. Just give the reader the information.
They will come back to you in the future should their needs change.
Going My Way?
Once you have a website going, the key to success is getting traffic there. Sure, telling your friends and your family are good starts, but if you are to make any sort of money on Internet, you will need to drive traffic. Here are a few ideas
Pay Per Click - You can go with Yahoo! or Google and you can bid on keywords that will have ads displayed. The great thing is that you don’t pay anything, until somebody clicks on the ad.
Blogs - You can set up a blog for free (I have six) at www.blogger.com. You will need a google account (they are free) and just besure that you include lots of key words so that the search engines will pick up your blogs. One way to do that is to regularly ”ping” your blog through www.pingomatic.com. If you have wordpress on your blog (free) it will do it automatically.
Comment On Other Blogs - search in google for other related blogs, and post a comment on that blog with a link to yours. Traffic will come soon enough.
Have You Blog With Your Signature On E-Mail - that way if you happen to forward a message (that others may have forwarded to you) the message may get forwarded and others will now have your link.
Advertise With Other Websites - You can always ask the website webmaster how much they would charge you for the ad. Some are inexpensive and can easily drive you valuable traffic to your website.
Advertise The Old-Fashioned Way - believe it or not, you can always use print media and radio. It costs more, but if you have an exciting product to offer, you can always try to use this route.
Don’t give up and Never Surrender! Look at what other successful people are doing on their websites and simply employ some of the same techniques.
You Gotta Be “Niche-Picky”
One of the most important things to using the Internet to make money is to be “niche-picky”. What does that mean? Well, it is part of marketing in that you have to know who your target market is and make it as specific a market as possible to enjoy success. Perhaps it is best to use an example.
Let’s say that you have a great product/eBook/program that you know everybody would love. After all, you love it, why wouldn’t anybody else. For this example let us assume that this is a sure-fire way to lose weight quickly, effectively, and permanently. (The weight-loss industry has endured for years, and there definitely is room in this field to make a decent amount of money). So, you think that your target market is overweight people.
Too broad (no pun intended). There are millions of people out there that are overweight and want to definitely lose the weight quickly. The problem is that you are too general. You need to target it your advertising/marketing toward individuals that feel as if you are speaking directly to them. So, you narrow your field…Overweight Men.
Still too broad. While you may have just cut your audience in half, there is a lot of people in this category. How old is your target audience? How active is your audience? What do they enjoy doing? What sort of jobs do they have?
Whew! That’s a lot to think of. So you narrow your field again: Overweight men over thirty years of age. Now you are getting closer, but narrow it even further.
Overweight men over thirty who are largely inactive.
Overweight, inactive, tried-every-diet-under-the sun, need simplicity men.
THAT”S A LOT CLOSER!! You see if you target just overweight people, nobody will read your articles, go to your website, purchase your products, … so forth and so on. You need to have your product geared to catch an individual’s attention. Find the individuals, and they will grow your business and will be the most loyal customers because they have felt as if you are speaking to them.
Go and find your niche!
