financial independence

Internet Marketing Success: It Is No Accident

When you read the squeeze pages and ads for some of the Internet Marketing programs that are out there, you are lead to believe that the success that some of the wealthiest Internet marketers out there is something that was so simple and effortless and that they just happened upon success by chance. You never hear about the short nights in which people are either staying up late, getting up super-early, or both.

There is a lot of effort involved in having success in making a living from the Internet.

Now, you may stumble across a way that works wonders for you and that you will have a moderate degree of success. You may also have to ift through 100 programs until you find the one that works for you. You may be on the brink of finding the program that works for you: perhaps you have a pretty decent website, but when it comes time for the customer to opt-in or sign up, you have nothing fancy. There are even some pretty good free program out there like here that may provide the one little extra push that you need. It is free, so it is worth checking out.

Internet Marketing success takes a lot of thought and effot, but it can be done. You need to research your audience. You don’t want to have a great dog product that you are trying to pitch to cat lovers. You need to pitch that to the dog lovers. Your success will depend largely on how much effort you put into your business. But, don’t confuse quantity with quality. If something doesn’t work for you, make note and move on to something else until you find the thing that works for you.

Then build on that success. You CAN do it!

Have a GREAT day!

Are YOU Having Internet Marketing Success?

Much has been written here to help you achieve a degree of Internet Marketing success. As it has been stated before, just having a website, no matter how great it may be, is not the only step to achieving your dream of financial independence. Just as if you had a great restaurant and nobody ate there, who would ever know that you served some of the most creative and delicious food on the planet? Who would recommend your restaurant to the their friends and neighbors? Who would eagerly look forward to the next special that you had there?

Nobody.

Sounds sad and lonely, doesn’t it? Sad, lonely, and true. If you don’t “ping” your daily writing/posts to your website, not even a search engine will find and catalog your website out there. Try pinggoat, for starters. At least get your name out there. You can also submit articles to ezinearticles.com and that can be a slow, but steady source of traffic. You might do a PPC (pay per click) campaign with Google Adwords or type “PPC Advertising” into the search bar of  Google and find other ways to generate traffic to your site. You might have to pay for traffic in the beginning, but, once the traffic starts to flow, so does the cash flow as well.

You might even try traditional advertising like the newpaper (non-traditional like Craigslist). What ever you do, just do something! Make note of what works and what doesn’t. What works for one person, may not work at all for another. You never know until it is used.

Here’s to YOUR Internet Marketing success, and have a GREAT day!

Positive Mental Attitude - Always Look on the Bright Side of Life

As a holder of a degree in music, I love songs! Not any one particular genre, but songs in general. When I think of positive mental attitude I think of the Monty Python song Always Look on the Bright Side of Life.Whatever you focus on, you tend to gravitate toward. If all you ever think about is how you are poor and you don’t have enough money, guess what? … You will be poor and not have enough money. If, instead, you focus on the things that you have going your way and how successful those are, you will be harvesting feelings of empowerment and success.

It is up to you!

Instead of focusing on the $1,000 that you don’t have, focus on the $100 that you do. It is much like the parable of the three servents of a master who were entrusted with the master’s money while he was away. Two of the servants used the money to make more money for the master and they were rewarded with more responsibility and praise. But one who simply looked on the negative side and didn’t want to lose what was given him hid the money and had only that money to return to his master. His indecisiveness and laziness and fear caused him to lose what was to be his reward.

What reward are YOU missing because of your fear and laziness? You know that you will get out of something what you put into it and that you should not fear.  In fact, I recall reading a Zig Ziglar book, See You At The Top that stated the fear stand for False Expectations Appearing Real. Be fearless and you will improve your chance for success.

Have a GREAT day!

Positive Mental Attitude: Help Set The Tone

When it come to getting traffic to your website, it helps to have a Positive Mental Attitude. You want to attract people to read what you have to say and to purchase what you are offering as a solution for them. I can recall some of the training that I have had in sales when I worked for a major telecommunications company (”Can You Hear Me Now?”). They did not encourage you to be negative. People hear enough negative things out there in the world now, why at fuel to their fire.

Make your website to be a place of excitement that people may have the chance to dream for what they want to do with their own lives. Try to offer something unique that is going to fill a need that they have in their lives. Perhaps they are overweight. You wouldn’t want a sebsite that is full of fat and unattractive people. You would want to have a website that has healthy, fit, and trim people that are living life. You typically don’t go to the Internet to find things that will lower your self-esteem.

Fill a need and offer a solution to people and people will be drawn to your site. Find a way to answer a question that they may have. Offer a way to achieve a goal that they have. It takes work and research because nobody is going to have somebody do everything for them. Is there money to be made out there? YES!! Can YOU do it? YES!! Will it happen in one hour with no effort? No. What you put into your endeavor, you will see return. Put in a half-hearted effort, and you will get a half-hearted result.

Have a GREAT day!!

You Gotta Give to Get

In creating traffic to your website, it is best to be willing to give traffic to other sites.  A fair amount of time is spent each week looking at other sites that have similar themes and ideas that my blogs have.  I read to see what others have to say and I comment on their writing.  The reasons are multiple:

* By commenting on the other sites, the webmasters will often reply or visit your site.  Remember that traffic = $$$.  You can have the ost excellent website in the world, but if nobody knows about it, how will you profit.  It is like having the most exquisite restaurant in the world that nobody has ever visited.  The food may be out of this world, but if you never have any visitors or customers, you won’t be able to stay in business for very long.

* You will see the trends that are developing out there.  If you only  look at trends that interest you and you only, you may be the only one that ever is interested in what you have to say.  Try looking at what is happening out there.  Don’t be cause by surprised if something exciting happens and you fail to notice because you failed to look beyond yourself.

* You have the ability to network with others.  You can share ideas, learn tips and trade “secrets”, even develop future business contacts.  Don’t live in a fortress and let nobody in.

* You can receive criticism.  Sometimes it takes another opinion to show where you lack.  I welcome all criticism because I look at it as a way to grow into a more empathetic writer.  Maybe you should too!

Keep in mind that there are a lot of hungry souls out there that can provide you with some of your greatest ideas for making more money for your life.  Some will use that to get out of the shackles of debt while others may use the money for pleasure.  Remember that money is only a tool, it is not evil unless somebody uses it to be evil.

Let me know what you think, and here’s to a successful life! (you can even visit my blog to learn about saving money)

A Bit of a Preview

To get ahead financially you essentially have to make more than you spend.  One of the ways is by saving money.  You can get ahead by making what salary you happen to be on (unless it is just minimum wage cleaning bathrooms in a call center, and yes I have done that).  You can get ahead by bettering yourself through conscious effort, going back to school, working toward a promotion, etc.

One thing that has exploded in popularity is internet marketing, finding a niche and coming up with a solution to meet that niche’s particular desires.  I know you have seen the emails saying that you can make $1,000 a day using Internet Marketing and Sales.  Can you?  Of course.  Will you?  Not without a lot of hard work.  And there is nothing wrong with hard work.  I have been there and I have explored some of the hype andd found that some of it is true, but there is also a lot of untruth out there.  A lot of it boils down to desire.

There is a difference in stating that you’d like to have more money and stating that you will have more money.  Feel the difference?  One has a whimsical feeling to it while the second has a air of definitiveness of purpose.  I will be sharing with you in the soon-to-be-here future what has worked for me and what may work for you.  I will keep it real.  Those who knew me a generation ago will recall that I was a teacher, but there was more to life than the subject which I taught.  I knew that, and they knew that I knew that as well.  I am still a teacher, just allow me to open your eyes and teach you as well.

The Frugal Lifestyle

Sometimes, in your quest to live life without spending excessively, people may call you a cheapskate, a tightwad, or worse.  Maybe I’ve developed a bit of tough skin over this, but it really doesn’t matter anymoe.  What’s funny is that these values were embraced by those of different generations.  Growing up, my parents were never rich in things, but were rich in values and friendships.  The tried to pass these values down to their children.  Being the prodigal son, I was not always willing to adopt the same values and lifestyles, but as I grow older, I realize that a lot that they were attempting to teach me were the right things.  Looking back (while looking forward at the same time), here are some things that have been learned:

* If you truly want it, save for it - there is no better feeling than seeing something that you want and saving for it little by little.  If you truly want it, you will still want it by the time that you have saved enough to pay for it.  Instant gratification is nice, but things have a tenency not to mean as much if you see it, grab it, charge it, and pay for it for a long time.
* Don’t spend too much for things you need - mom was a great budgeter and she always kept her eye open for a good value.  She had a budget and stuck to it.
* Waste not, want not - items were purchased for a reason and waste was not an option
* Buy quality, not quantity - mom and dad were not “brand buyers”. I was not brought up to “need” to wear Nike shoes or Levi’s jeans.  Mom always bought quality clothes that lasted and didn’t look too bad.
* Save for a rainy day - As I get older, it makes more sense, because sometimes life has a way of happening: your car may need shocks and struts (especially if you purchase a used car), the plumbing may stop up (and you cannot fix it yourself), your glasses may get broken, or something may need to be done that you don’t normally expect.  I now have a savings account online that pays a decent rate and the money is accessible if I truly need it.

Be wise, or as Spock would say, “Live long and prosper.”

Shopping Tips

Believe it or not, there is an art to grocery shopping and saving some serious money (that you can use, of course) to pay off your credit card debt. Since the focus lately has been on food, perhaps some pointers will assist.

* Never shop on an empty stomach. You have a tendency to be attacted to a lot of different things when you are hungry. You might pick up some bakery item (and a little extra weight) or something that you really didn’t need, perhaps because something caught your eye (and you thought that advertising didn’t work)

* Have a list. One of the biggest money-management mistakes is that you could dash into the store “just to pick up a gew things for dinner” and the next thing that you know, you have a cart that is brimming and full and expensive: it is best to have a list and to stick with it.

* Look high and low. Believe it or not, the best values are not at eye level. Those are the coveted spots for items that have a high mark-up, but are not necessarily the best thing for your wallet.

* Shop later in the day for meat. Often, the meat department will mark down some of their meat if it hasn’t moved by four o’clock, They figure that some profit is better than no profit

* Plan your shopping. If you have a favorite grocery store, you probably know how it is laid out. With your list in hand, go only to the areas that you have to go to get the things that are on your list. Walking up and down each and every aisle may be good exercise, but the longer that you are in a store, the more you will buy. Grocery stores count on that.

Remember, the goal of grocery shopping should be to purchase economical foods to fuel you body. You want to save a little bit of money so that you can have more for your credit card debt elimination program. For a great program, click here.
